We are all sitting around here in Raleigh talking about how wrong the judges were in their analysis of Noelle! They were wrong in absolutely everything they said, and we are flabbergasted by the judges negativity and incompetence. What exactly did they not like about the girls?? The audience sounded like they loved them. Another thing, this is a Gospel Music competition, yet the judges don’t seem to appreciate Southern Gospel Music. Noelle was by far the best performance of the night, and their performance was wasted on these three judges.

WOW! I’m watching the Immerse finals 2009 and I’m surprise that an upbeat hiphop gospel song performed by Big Al wasn’t quite received by the judges as a contemporary gospel song. Isn’t that what “contemporary” means??? Sure it was different, but that is the thing that make trendsetters. Lisa was so off point with her comment about the hook in the song where Big Al rapped, she said it was too derivative and too wordy, even went as far as to say he should come up with a new song!! Practically accusing the man of copying someone elses song as his own. That doesn’t seem like Big Al’s style. So Lisa you wrong! Had you caught the beat you would have caught the flow of the rapp!

Hey T.C.
Mom & Dad…
You were wonderful. Some of the best licks yet. God is with you - You fill the room with praise and my heart with grace.
Keep on!
Wish I could have heard you live.

Evan and Steven, you are still awesome! I remember when you were so young and talented; obviously going somewhere with your gifts. It was a blessing to hear you then and now, and you will be signed if not now, for sure in the future.
Keep using the gifts God gave you and He will give you the desires of your hearts.
We love and miss you!

Is it just me, but if you are going to judge a music competition shouldn’t you try and understand the music regardless of the genre? Otherwise, say it’s a music competition for just this type of muisc. Be honest with yourself. Hip Hop is a genre, but is no less uplifting, ministry-minded, or anointing than any other form of Christian music. It’s not the style, but how the artist allows the Lord to use him or her. Hip Hop does not just belong to one race of people since even in the secular industry is larger supported by the race that least makes it. I like that the competition was aired online, but the comments to Big Al didn’t set well with me because it was dismissive of the genre not him. I normally listen to contemporary christian music, but I also like urban gospel, choirs, and hip hop. I don’t want just one type of christian music. Also, while I understand that many artists water down the gospel I think it’s ridiculous to encourage it openly.

Hi Carmelita, I didn’t say he should come up with a new song, I said he should come up with a new verse melody cause the VERSE melody was derivative. I love Big Al, & thought he did a great job. I do think that from a writing perspective, the hook & rap were more fun & showcased his writing better than the verses did. Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks for tuning in!

T.C. and the Musical Sensation were the best. How could that judge say what she said about how they were dress. She should be glad to know that young men can still dress nice and want to. We are so hung up on the baggy jeans and shirts with all this mess on them that when we see someone dress different we do not know how to act. T.C. and his band are number 1 in my book.

Lisa,
I listened to your comments about Big Al’s music verse being too derivative. I am not sure what you mean by this word. Maybe you can explain this further…..

I watched the GMA’s Immerse and was pleasantly pleased with the musicians. I am from NC, but not Raleigh, and did not like what the judges said about the group Noelle. I thought they were fantastic. They had a wonderful range of voices and were good to look at. I think the judges were just caught off guard and didn’t know what to say, and chose to knock on North Carolina.

TC Carter and The Musical Sensation……. you guys are great. I love music and I think the best music is the kind that leaves a impression, inspires and or invokes emotion. Music is meant be felt not just heard and I’m feeling it.
Great Job

I was told to check this out. (The whole show) Then give an opinion of who I liked and why and who didn’t like and why. There was good talent and there was some great talent. There was even a couple of exceptionally talented groups. But the one that stood above the rest was T.C. Carter and The Musical Sensations. What was there not to love about these guys. They looked professional, they sounded even better. Everything on point. Good luck guys. Stay focused on “God”and your group and eveything else will take care of itself.
