We here at Godbeat.com have had the privilege of spending a great deal of time with this new, teen artist. We have watched her walk the journey through the production of her very first CD and watched  how well she has handled the sometimes trying  process.   We were so very honored to host her very first live performance at our Godbeat LIVE event on Oct 19th where she wow’ the well over 1000 fans watching her live streaming performance.  At 16, a true professional in every respect.

What we did not get to witness were the stories behind the 6 songs on her debut CD.  These 6 songs are very personal, going in a direction that exposes areas of her life where few artist her age, or older dare to go.  The title track “Tear Down These Walls” with its driving pop influence  is a heart cry of how Christ may be misrepresented by some  and that we are charged to show the world the Jesus we know, but “painting” Him in the light He expects us to.  “Just A Girl” is a personal reflection of Gods love and how He has a purpose for all of us and how He can use anyone, even a 16 year old girl to change lives.

“I will run to you, through all the pain inside. You wipe away the tears from my eyes. I lay’n it all down, turning myself around, Im running back to you.”   Does not that just say it all?  That simple Chorus in the second track “Run To You”  speaks to the redemptive grace of God, a God that we can run back to, regardless of the pain inside,  He is there to wipe the tears away.   Powerful lyrics that speaks to everyone, regardless of age.

Every song on this CD is powerful and has that personal touch that makes you want to listen.  They speak from real issues, you can hear the hurt and struggle.  You can also hear the victory from those rough times ringing through. Lexi may be young, but she is making a statement about who she is. She is transparent, which is a rare quality in adults, let alone a teenage.  Her willingness to be open will draw people to the God she clearly loves so very much.

Tear Down These Walls is Lexi’s first cd and by every standard she hit a home run.  We are so very excited to have her as a Featured Artist on Godbeat.com

Lexi’s cd release is on Nov 11th!  She will be performing in Portage ILL, at the Portage High School Auditorium with “Seven-Glory” as her opening and back up band.
